W2: Science & Technology

At this stage, the global technology sector is developing at an extremely fast pace. This is not without its challenges. New energy sources are one of them. Not only that, but governments are also working on the issue of data privacy and security. However, the same limitations exist between countries in terms of access to technology and ensuring a fair distribution of benefits. If these issues could be resolved, the scientific field would go further.

Countries are still optimistic about the future of the technology sector, and I am no exception. I think that in the next 40 years, mankind will have developed a universal garment. Although it is still a concept with the current technology, I believe that soon, this garment will be developed. But what is a universal garment? A universal garment is, as the name suggests, a garment that can be used in all situations. Not only can the suit adjust its temperature according to the surrounding temperature, but it can also change its gravity and make the user float in the air. Most importantly it is also fire resistant and provides oxygen. This will allow the user to increase survival rates in all kinds of extreme conditions.

So why are we not yet able to reach the technology of the future with the current technology? This is because we have a few problems to overcome. One of them is the temperature of the garment and the gravity regulation device. Why? Because we have not yet developed a system that uses electromagnetic fields to create a gravity assist inside the garment. An analogy would be to reduce one's own gravity to allow the user to float. This technology would require a huge investment of human and financial resources to develop.

The second is the material required to manufacture the garment. The garment needs to use a smart fibre material that can be adjusted to the temperature of the environment. In addition to this, a layer of flame-retardant material or nano-coating would be added to make the garment extremely fire-resistant. In addition, a temperature detection function is required to automatically activate the fire protection system in the event of a major fire. For the time being, these materials are still in the development and testing phase. I am sure that in the near future, these materials will be available.

And the third and main issue is that of technology as well as technology. Why is this the most important issue? This is because each country has different technologies that cannot be shared or developed in cooperation because of national borders. This has prevented the development of technology by leaps and bounds. If countries could put their borders aside and work together to develop this technology, then I believe it would not take long for this universal garment to be developed.

And I got this idea because every time I see someone lose their life because of a fire I think about a question. Is it possible to develop a suit that can cope with extreme conditions and allow us to float in the air to improve our chances of survival in case of an emergency?
